We’re all players in a grand game, but who wrote the rules? We did. Every game we set up for ourselves, for humanity – it’s all our doing. But are we really free to “choose”? Or are we just following a script we’ve forgotten we wrote?
Think about it. The importance we give to one game over another – that’s just another game. A meta-game. We assign this importance, collectively. When enough of us buy in, it snowballs. Social proof in action. But how much does it really matter?
From this assigned importance, we craft our values, beliefs, purpose, mission. All invented, all part of the games we’ve set up. It’s a feedback loop. These beliefs and values shape the games we create, which in turn evolve our beliefs and values. Round and round we go, an infinite evolutionary dance.
These values become our social grease. Everything seems to circle back to life protecting life, life seeking more life. We’re collective organisms, constantly tweaking this social lubricant to keep the wheels of existence turning.
It’s like that old dot-matrix Game of Life, but on steroids. We’re playing on a grid so vast we can’t see the edges, with more possible outcomes than stars in the sky. We evolve through time and generations, but there’s no guarantee we’ll make it to the next level.
The million-dollar question is: can we level up our consciousness fast enough? Can we spot the threats to life’s fragility and act before it’s game over?
But remember, folks. It’s all about the games. Always has been, always will be. We’re the players, the designers, and the pawns all at once. So what’s your next move?
